Swing Time
Swing Time is also known as Cadbury. Bred by Sara Alberni of Ontario, Canada, he was born on Easter Sunday 2012. I purchased him when he was about 5 weeks old. He was shipped to Silver Oak after he was weaned. His training started about midway during his 3 year old year. This year (2017) was Cadbury's first year showing at recognized USDF shows and we are currently qualified for USDF Region 3 Championships at Training level.
Cadbury is by Sir Donnerhall out of Diotima by Donnerschlag. Sir Donnerhall is a Bundeschampion, Vice World Champion and was the undisputed top stallion at his licensing in Adelheidsdorf, where he achieved the highest score ever of 163 in his dressage index. Sir Donnerhall's pedigree contains a wonderful combination of genes from Sandro Hit and Donnerhall. His dam, Contenance D, was "Brilliantring" mare in Rastede and she is also dam to approved stallion Sir Donnerhall II. Sir Donnerhall is a consistent producer of top dressage offspring. His son Sa Coeur is a double World Champion and sold at the 2012 PSI Auction for 2.3 million Euro. Diotima is an Elite Hanoverian mare (the highest rating for Hanoverian broodmares). Prior to importation from Germany, Diotima received her “1A” prize and gained “SPA” (states premium candidate) status. After producing her first foal in the USA, she completed all requirements to achieve her “EM” status. She embarked on a very successful showing career in hand, winning another “1A” prize and Reserve Grand Champion of the Mid-Atlantic Hanoverian Breeder’s mare show in 2007. In 2008 she showed at Dressage at Devon to place 3rd out of 16 in the Broodmare class with a score of 80.7%, placing just behind Iron Springs Farm’s Rabiola (2006 USA Grand Champion). In 2008 Diotima ended the year in 5th place for broodmares competing in the US Dressage Federation shows. In 2009 at Fairhill I and II she was Champion Mare and Champion Mature Horse at both shows.
Cadbury is a lovely mover with lovely light-footed gaits and great suspension. He is sensitive, focused and extremely intelligent. Cadbury was Grand Champion and Champion Hanoverian at Southeast Horse Shows at Canterbury in 2017, and twice Grand Champion at Orlando Dressage in 2017 and 2018. He qualified for Regionals in 2017 and 2019 and has scored mid to high 70%. If all goes as planned he will be my next FEI horse.
