Brendon Hill Shareholder
Brendon Hill Shareholder, aka Ben, was bred by Diana Scott at Brendon Hill Stud in Somerset, England. He is by It's Without Doubt, who is by Welton Louis, out of a Ben Faerie mare. Diana's famous stallion Ben Faerie is the sire of Ginny Leng's Priceless and Night Cap. He is also closely related to Primmore's Pride, who Pippa Funnel won two legs of the Grand Slam of Eventing with in 2003. Benny was purchased as a two year old, brought to the US, and began his training early in his 3 year old year. He successfully competed at Training Level in Eventing and at 2nd level at USDF Dressage shows.
Ben then competed in eventing and dressage with Patricia's working student Amy Hodik. Amy has been very successful with Ben. Amy was named Equiventure LLC's 2017 Junior of the Year with Ben, receiving a scholarship. They also placed highly in the USEA Area III Championships in 2015 and 2016 at Beginner Novice and Novice (respectively), and also qualified for the USEA American Eventing Championships. Through their state organization, the Florida Horse Trial Association, Amy and Ben won a range or awards in 2015 and 2016 including; Junior of the Year '16, Show Jumping Title Award '16, Thoroughbred of the Year '15 & '16, Aged Horse of the Year '15 & '16, Gelding of the Year '16, Cross Country Title Award '15 & '16, and the Dressage Title Award '15 & '16. The pair was also very successful during Amy's time in USA Pony Club, including winning the Beginner Novice Eventing division at the 2015 USPC National Championships, placing 1st at several other eventing rallies in 2015, and 1st in a Pas de Duex Musical Freestyle in 2014 at The Sunshine Region's Dressage Rally.
