Alexander Chterba

Alex Chterba of Russia is a recognized as an Elite International Trainer. A member of the USSR's Show Jumping Team, Alex later in his career became Soviet Dressage Team Coach at the Olympic Training Center in Moscow. During that time he trained Dixon and Nina Menkova who competed Internationally for the USSR. Nina Menkova and Dixon were members of the USSR's team at the Seoul Olympics. She and Dixon also competed at the World Championships in 1990 and in several World Cup Qualifiers and Finals. Other students of Alex's include Anatoly Timchenko, a member of Russia's Show Jumping team at the Barcelona Olympics in 1992 and Elena Sidneva who was a member of Russia's Dressage team at the Sydney Olympics in 2000. His classical education began in the USSR Calvary where he earned the title " Riding Master". Alex studied further under the brilliant and successful USSR Olympic team coach Anastasiev and became equally proficient in the disciplines of show jumping and dressage. Alex is especially known for his ability to work horses in high collection. Recognized by elite trainers and riders including Bertalan de Nemethy, Kyra Kyrklund, and Carol Lavell, Alex Chterba is truly an international trainer of the highest caliber.
