Welton Valentino
Welton Valentino, aka Andy, came to the farm from Limbury Stud in Hartpury, England. He was bred by Sam and Linda Barr in 1997, breeders of some of Eventings most famous horses including Welton Envoy, Welton Houdini, Welton Apollo, Welton Greylag and Welton Romance. Purchased as a green, uncompeted 4 year old, he qualified for his first CIC in 2005. Patricia and Andy also succeeded through Second Level in dressage. Andy was a lovely horse with a kind and happy personality.
Andy competed at Second Level in dressage and occasionally in eventing with Patricia's student, Liz Jannaman. Liz and Andy qualified for UDSF Region 3 Championships at First and Second Level their first year together. They performed very well and are continuing to work towards Third Level. Andy also competed in Liz's first USEA recognized event at Beginner Novice in April 2017, coming in a close second place and finishing on their dressage score. Andy passed away peacefully in 2023 with Liz by his side and will be greatly missed by all of those that loved him.
