Silver Oak Farm was established in 1990 and moved to its present location in Alachua, Florida in 1993. We provide training and boarding services and specialize in eventing and dressage. The farm is convenient to Gainesville and the University of Florida. Owner/Manager Patricia Deasy is a former Area III Leading Rider.Rider and an USEA ICP Certified Instructor. In June 1993, she was ranked 37rd in the nation on the USEA Rider of the Year leaderboard. With 20 years experience actively competing and training up to Intermediate level in Eventing and 3rd level in Dressage, she has trained horses and riders that have won 17 USEA Area III Championships and 3 USEF national championships. She takes a kind supportive approach with an emphasis on correct flatwork and confident, safe cross country riding.
Patricia works regularly with her mentor, Alex Chterba, former coach of the USSR's Olympic Dressage Team and four-time National Show Jumping Champion of the USSR. She has ridden in clinics with Lucinda Green regularly since 1992. The farm also regularly hosts clinics with Jennie LoristonâClarke, Chairman of British Dressage and “I” level judge, who has represented Great Britain at the Olympics five times. In 1978 Jennie was the Bronze Medalist at the World Championships at Goodwood.
